The Traveston Dam near Gympie in Queensland has been rejected by the Environment Minister, Peter Garrett, for reasons of "science".
I'm not satisfied that the impact on the long term survival would be adequately addressed by the mitigation and offset measures proposed.
There have been calls for Anna Bligh to resign. I reckon she will survive - but will there be a mutiny?
Edit: Ben-as-Mod fixed what he thought was a spelling error... unless "Munity" is a word he is unaware of :)
