Scram you pesky jet

The US has started tests of a "hypersonic cruise missile" over the pacific. These jets use a scramjet, which does not have any turbines or blades to produce thrust and is capable of greater top speeds - but they do need a push start.

Australian and New Zealand scientists have achieved and ten-fold increase in resolution by combining six radio telescopes to get clearer images.

Scientists in Australia and New Zealand have achieved a similar feat by bringing together the radio signals of six telescopes spread across the two countries to act as one giant telescope.

Like getting glasses for your glasses I guess.

Now this story is just plain silly.

A research scientist has become the first person to infect himself with a computer virus in a bid to study the risks associated with a new generation of micro-chipped medical implants.

I am not sure what his point is.
