News.com is reporting that a beauty pageant entrant in California says that those who have gay sex should die. She said:

"If he says that having sex with someone of your same gender is going to bring death upon you, that's a pretty stern warning, and he knows more than we do about life."

She is, of course, using the quote from Leviticus which says:

'If man lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death and their blood shall be upon them.'

This is an oft quoted part of Leviticus that is used to promote hatred towards gays.

And if she believes that then she must also think that slavery is OK, because Leviticus also says:

Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.

So slaves are good!

Leviticus also says that cotton-polyester shirts are a no-no:

Do not wear material woven of two kinds of material.

Actually - I agree with that one. 100% polyester is the only way to go.

So can someone please ask Carrie Prejean what she thinks of the other parts of Leviticus, because I am sure she would not be selectively quoting to support her bigotry.
