Before the election in 2007 we were told that the ALP was beholden to the unions and that they would just do their bidding. Well, it looks like the Australian Education Union is not getting their way, SMH says.
The union said public school teachers across the country voted unanimously yesterday for a ban on NAPLAN tests in protest against the use of test data from the federal government's My School website to make school comparisons.
Again - not being a parent means that I am not sure of how the My Schools wesbite is going down, but it seems to me that parents like it and teachers hate it.Is that a good thing?
