I know this story is a bit old but I have been meaning to post about it.
Back in February, the US State of South Dakota Legislative Assembly passed the House Concurrent Resolution No. 1009. This bill called for a "balanced teaching of global warming in the public schools of South Dakota".
Not a problem really.
The leglsation goes on to say that students should be taught that "global warming is a scientific theory rather than a proven fact" and that "climatological, meteorological, astrological, thermological, cosmological, and ecological dynamics that can effect world weather phenomena".
Astrological? Astrological?
The stars affect the climate on earth?
And these people make legislation?
